The “vinyasa” is a mainstay of most yoga flow classes. Literally translated from Sanskrit it means “to put into place.” We’ll break down each of the asanas that make up the vinyasa, tadasana, uttanasana, chatarunga dandasana and the dogs: upward facing and downward facing to give us a strong understanding and foundation for the postures that follow in a typical yoga sequence and how it puts your practice “into place.” More here.

Find the strength and power of these standing postures. Though you may be familiar with these poses, there is a lot of subtle detail involve in order to stand strongly and confidently in them (along with their related standing postures). We’ll delve deeper into what makes these postures – and you – warriors. More here.

Yoga Foundation #3: A Balancing Act
