Studio Etiquette

New to Confluence?

Please come to class at least 15 minutes prior to the start of class, so that we have time to get you properly set up on the bike.

If you are running late to yoga class, please honor the other students who are already in session and enter quietly.

Please advise us if you have any preexisting or current injuries or if you are pregnant. As with beginning any physical endeavor, please consult with your doctor beforehand.

Common Questions

What shall I expect?

Confluence is not a gym. We are a boutique studio that provides a judgment-free zone and who welcomes everyone – from those seeking a beginner’s yoga class to those who are more advanced. We provide clear instructions and guidance in all of our classes.

Do I need bike shoes?

While bike shoes with SPD cleats will give you the optimal indoor cycling experience, athletic shoes will work. Please makes sure your shoes are free of mud, dirt and debris (and if inclement weather are not worn outside prior to entering the studio).

What do I wear?

For indoor cycling: bike shorts will be more comfortable, but yoga pants or athletic shorts will suffice.
For yoga: yoga pants or athletic shorts and non-binding, comfortable tops. No shoes or socks.

What do I bring?

Yourself!  And bike shoes if you have them. We provide a towel service, have a filtered water dispenser and water bottles, if you’ve forgotten yours.

For yoga, bring your own yoga mat if you have one. We have studio mats and many props available for you to use, as well.

Where do I park?

There is metered parking on and in the lots across the street. No quarters? No problem. There are automated meters in the parking garage. All you need is the Passport Parking app. It’s super easy and you can easily extend your time right from your smartphone.
