Personalize Your Sun Salutations with Markeeta

What if my foot doesn’t make it all the way to the top of the mat?
Should I hope to the top, or step?
I don’t always feel like doing Chaturanga. What are my other options?
Am I doing Down Dog correctly? It feels a little off.
Do these posed have meaning?

If you’ve ever had any of these thoughts during yoga class, this workshop is for you! We will break down the journey of a Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation). Along the way you’ll learn the mythology behind each asana, proper technique for each pose, tips for traveling the mat, and modifications to personalize your flow. You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of Sun Salutations, and how to personalize your practice.

This is an interactive workshop. We’ll be discussing and practicing each pose, so be sure to wear loose comfortable clothing. You may also bring a journal if you wish to take notes.

Sunday, Aug. 4, Noon – 2 p.m.
